Gözde Küçük Adıyaman is Board Member and Deputy General Manager in charge of Sales (Domestic & Export) and Marketing as well as a Board Member at Elit Chocolate and Confectionary (Elit Çikolata ve Şekerleme A.Ş.) established in 1924, a family business and one of the oldest Turkish companies in the sector. She graduated from Princeton University in 2006 with a B.A. degree (cum laude) in Political Economy and certificates in Near Eastern Studies and European Politics and Society. Her senior thesis, “Diplomacy of Seismic Waves: Greek- Turkish Earthquake Diplomacy, 1999-2002” was the recipient of the Near Eastern Studies Senior Thesis Prize. Gözde Küçük Adıyaman holds an M.A. in International Economy and International Relations, with a concentration in Europe, from Johns Hopkins University, Paul Nitze School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS). In 2009, Ms. Küçük Adıyaman spent time in Germany, working at the Mayor’s Office in Wiesbaden, the State Capital of Hesse. Later, she was the Program Director at Global Relations Forum (GRF)* in Istanbul between September 2009 when the organization became operational, and March 2012. At GRF, she directed a Task Force on Turkey-USA Relations (2009-2011), which published its report in December 2011. She also directed a second Task Force on the Legal Aspects of Turkey-EU Relations as well as GRF’s Young Scholars and Young Scholars Abroad policy seminars for the most promising Turkish students in top US and Turkish universities. Ms. Küçük Adıyaman later worked as a Finance Specialist at Koç Holding A.Ş., the largest conglomerate in Turkey and the only Turkish company in the Fortune Global 500 list. At Koç, Ms. Küçük gained extensive experience in different industrial sectors and company financials until she assumed an active role at Elit Chocolate and Confectionary in December 2013. Gözde Küçük Adıyaman is also the Chair of Princeton University’s Alumni School Committee and President of the Princeton Alumni Club of Turkey. She is fluent in Turkish, English, and German, and conversational in Italian.
