1998 yılında University of Missouri-Rolla’da Mühendislik Yönetimi ve Endüstri Mühendisliği lisans derecelerini bölüm birinciliği ile bitiren Çiftçi, 2002 senesinde American Institute for CPCU ARe programına katılmış, daha sonra Marmara Üniversitesi Mühendislik Yönetimi alanında Yüksek Lisansı’nı tamamlamıştır. Kariyerine 1999 yılında IBS’de Reasürans Bölüm Müdürü olarak başlayan Çiftçi, 2014 yılına kadar çeşitli yöneticilik kademelerinde görev almış 2011 yılında ortaklık statüsü kazanmış ve 2014 yılında IBS CEO’su olarak atanmıştır. IBS Genel Müdürlüğü koltuğuna oturması ile birlikte şirket yönetimine yeni bir dinamizm ve yenilikçi bir bakış açısı katan Çiftçi, IBS’yi, sektörün dünya devleri ile aynı ligde mücadele eden bir oyuncu konumuna taşımıştır. Proje finansmanı gerektiren yap-işlet-devret projelerinin sigorta ve reasürans boyutlarında Türkiye’nin önde gelen şirketlerine hizmet vererek farklı endüstrilerden birçok Türk yatırımcının yurt dışı projelerinin sigorta ve reasürans ihtiyaçlarını karşılama noktasında önemli başarılara imza atmıştır. Pek çok girişime risk danışmanlığı konusunda destek veren Çiftçi, halen Marmara Üniversitesi Mühendislik Yönetimi alanında doktora tezi çalışmalarını sürdürmektedir. Dış Ekonomik İlişkiler Kurulu (DEİK) Singapur, Azerbaycan ve Birleşik Arap Emirlikleri İş Konseyleri Yürütme Kurulu üyeliği görevleri yanında KASİDER (Kadın Sigortacılar Derneği) yönetim kurulu üyesidir.

Receiving his bachelor’s degree as the highest-ranked in his graduating class from the University of Missouri-Rolla, with a double major in Engineering Management and Industrial Engineering, Çiftçi joined the American Institute for CPCU Program in 2002 and then received his master’s degree in Engineering Management at Marmara University. Starting his career at IBS as the Reinsurance Department Manager in 1999, Çiftçi held various managerial positions until 2014, gained partnership status in 2011, and was appointed as the CEO of IBS in 2014. Çiftçi, who added a new dynamism and an innovative perspective to the management of the company after taking the seat as the Managing Partner, has moved IBS to a position in which it has become a global player that competes in the same league with the giants of the sector. By providing services to Turkey’s leading companies in the insurance and reinsurance aspects of build-operate-transfer projects that require project financing, Çiftçi achieved significant success in meeting the insurance and reinsurance needs of overseas projects of many Turkish investors from various industries.

Adding a new perspective to the entrepreneurial atmosphere with the risk consultancy and risk management services provided to many startups, Çiftçi, conducts his doctoral thesis in the field of Engineering Management at Marmara University. He is also a member of the Executive Board of Singapore, Azerbaijan, and United Arab Emirates Business Councils of the Foreign Economic Relations Board (DEIK). In addition to these duties, Çiftçi is a member of the board of directors of KASIDER.
