Yağız Sözmen is co-Founder and Managing Partner at Turkey’s leading technology focused investment bank CORE Finance. Yağız is a highly-experienced professional and has extensive business process knowledge and accomplishments in technology financial markets. With Core, Yağız spearheaded the firm’s expansion and contributed to many of the company’s well-known transactions with a focus on cross-border Software and Technology transactions.

During his 12 years working within the sector Yağız has advised and worked with many of the leading companies and investors including Atar Labs, Jawbone, Guggenheim Partners and Vispera Retail Technologies. Counterparties in transaction Yağız advised included CarrefourSA, Klarna, Koç Holding, Micro Focus and Tobii. Yağız’s experience extends across a range of verticals, including fintech, SaaS software, cyber security, mobile gaming, e-commerce and digital advertising.

Yağız trained as venture capital investor at Smyrna Capital, a venture capital fund based in Washington D.C. with $500 Million in assets under management, continued his career with Bravosolution, a leading IT management consultancy and software company working with many Fortune 100 clients’ and held senior position as Partner at Farazad Investments, a global boutique investment bank headquartered in London.

Yağız received his BA in Economics from Tufts University, his MBA from London Business School and is a CFA® charterholder.
